Turn to you

when I don't know where I'm going to, at least I know that I'm not alone.

when I don't know what my destination is, at least I know that it is planned out.

It has been a long time since I dated Him, a long time since it was just the two of us.

I stood at the balcony, and there was our date.
it was simple yet good enough.
He spoke while I listened quietly.
I spoke while He listened quietly.

'see that building in front?'
'yeah'
'you don't see anything beyond that, but you know that there are buildings, places, destinations and dreams beyond this building.'
'yes' I said under my breath, looking at the opposite block that was the only thing I could see.
'that's like my plan for you, you don't know what's the bigger picture if you focus on something else. Look up..'

I looked up and saw the blue sky. I forgot that despite the things i couldn't see behind the building, I could still see the sky that stretches endlessly. Nothing was big enough to cover the sky.

I was still able to see God. in fact, God was still above me and with me in spite of everything.

I inhaled deeply and closed my eyes.

'From now on, will you look at me instead?'

'yes, i will'

You know each tear that drops.
You know each heartache I feel.
You know it when I need you the most.
