How to love?

The love of perfection blinds us of who all of us are---imperfect. The mistakes that are done by people we place high expectations on appear so much more significant than anyone else's. Hence, we get frustrated, disappointed, angry and even sad when the standard is not reached, when the desire is not fulfilled or when the request is not heard. We tend to only love the good things that we see, the good words we hear, and the good feelings that we experience. If we are not careful, we can even fall in love with an image we create of a person without knowing the person truly. Ultimately, realizing that love is not for perfect people will bring us back to the awareness that God's love for us is much more than we can comprehend. To love unconditionally and radically like how God loves us, is the final answer. To love when the person is in his/her most unlovable state, is true love.
