Heart

She lifted her hands to the sky and twirled around in her yellow summer dress.
Its flair rose and shimmered under the yellow orange sunlight.
The moment of that beauty froze for a second, not too long.
Her thin hands waved across the vast skies.
Then, she gently scooped up seemingly visible amounts of blessings.
The wind gently tousled her hair and kissed her cheeks.
The birds flew past the sky that reflected different shades of pink and purple.
Overwhelmed, with unexplainable feelings, she took in the beauty.

However, the story came back to haunt her.
Glistening teardrops filled the rim of her brown eyes.
Gradually and softly, they rolled down her face.
She could almost hear her heart break when the words cut deep
they replayed in her mind again and again
Her heart throbbed with such surge of adrenaline driving it
She started running with all the strength that she had
She ran and ran, away from the voices and stares that judged
Until she had to stop to catch her breath,
Then she figured that it was her heart that she had just lost.
She stumbled.

Amidst her unconsciousness in the real world,
This was the time she suddenly heard a soft voice speaking beside her ear.
I'm your shepherd, you shall not want.I will make you lie down on green pastures and lead you beside still waters.I will refresh your soul.guide you along the right paths for my name’s sake. Even though you walk through the darkest valley,
you will fear no evil, for I'm with you;
my rod and my staff, they comfort you.

eyes still shut tight.
A warm drop of tear escaped from the end of her eye.
It found a way to flow down to her ears.
She woke up, feeling her heartbeat as alive as ever.

Anyhow, it's not pain, not guilt nor shame that filled her heart.
Thankfulness somehow made way into her heart and ignited a spark.
She finally found something that was enough to set her free.

Love.

love ignites hope. hope finds joy. joy brings love.

She knew... She's loved. That's enough.
