the unholy trinity- me, myself and i
most of the times, these 3 words are the only words that go through our minds. we think of only ourselves, put ourselves 1st, consider benefits for ourselves, all we see are ourselves. When this happens, our hearts have no more place for God, our family or our friends. Then, we start hurting people around us without realizing.
The second is this, you shall love your neighbours as you love yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.
Mark 12.31
God wants us to always love the people around us as much as we love ourselves. not to love ourselves more than we love others or even in another way round.
In fact, Even if the person is our enemy, we must still love them. sometimes it's hard when you think that the person do not deserve your love and care, or that person is not worthy of your love.
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
Matthew 5.44
it is very paradoxical, but that's how God's way is.
give and you'll receive
sow and you'll reap
be the last and you'll be the 1st
die and you'll live
be blind and you'll see
give up and you'll gain
fail and you'll succeed
look deeper and you'll find how true it is.
i shall remember this as long as i live. Never let the unholy trinity take control =)
